Alex Marconi, Co-Owner/Lead Instructor
Coach Marconi is the Co-Owner of the Midwest Stars. He was picked in the 27th round of the 2000 MLB draft by the Tampa Bay Rays, making his way up to Triple-A and also getting called to Major League Spring Training. After his professional carreer as a player, he naturally moved on to coaching Division I baseball for 13 years, spending time at UNC Chapel Hill, Ball State University, and his alma mater, Kent State University.

Coach John is from Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania and a former Kent State University Pitcher/SS from 2016-2019. He was Drafted in the 8th round of the 2019 MLB Draft by the Texas Rangers as a RHP. John played his way up to Double-A, joining the Frisco Roughriders in 2022, before being picked in the 2023 Rule-5 Draft by the Arizona Diamondbacks. There he played with their Double-A team, the Amarillo Sodpoodles, until August of 2024.

Coach Spencer is a Miami University Baseball Alumna, and was picked in the 33rd round of the 2019 MLB Draft by the Texas Rangers as a RHP. He played on the AZL League Championship team with the AZL Rangers in 2019. He was also invited to play in Arizona Fall League in 2021. He played up to High-A with the Hickory Crawdads through the 2023 season.
